Music

The Music Department at Boundary Oak School is both successful and vibrant. All pupils have a music lesson each week to sing, investigate music of the world, play various instruments and make up their own compositions. There are many other opportunities for music within the school for different age ranges, irrespective of ability, and participation in the School Choir is encouraged!

Concerts and musical drama productions are held twice a year in the Acorn Theatre, giving the opportunity for pupils to display their skills at both music and drama. Regular Music Matinees are held in the music school throughout the term, where both beginners and more experienced musicians, perform in front of a small audience in a relaxed atmosphere. Various trips take place each year. Recently the Choir was involved in Voice in a Million at the O2 Arena.

A number of peripatetic music teachers visit the school to teach musical instruments including violin, cello, guitar, flute, piano, clarinet, saxophone, drums and singing.
