Introduction to Boundary Oak School

Welcome to Boundary Oak School.

Boundary Oak is a friendly and caring school, small enough for all of its pupils to be known by each other and by all members of staff but large enough for there to be a wide range of opportunities for all of its pupils to reach their full potential. It is set in 23 acres of beautiful parkland close to Junction 10 of the M27. The main school house dates back to 1280 and is reached by passing through a Tudor Gatehouse know as The Lodge.

Children in the school are taught a broad and balanced syllabus based on the National Curriculum and Common Entrance syllabus by dedicated staff and specialist input is given in a variety of subjects from a young age. A careful system of assessment allows staff the opportunity to monitor each child's progress carefully.

There is a wide range of extra-curricular clubs including a variety of sports and music. Music and Drama play an important part in the life of the School and all children from Reception to Year 8 get the opportunity to perform to the rest of the school and to their parents and family in plays and concerts.

Our children are encouraged to become confident young people who are equipped to tackle the challenges that may lie ahead. To this end they are given the chance to contribute to the running of the school by taking on a variety of positions of responsibility.

Deciding on how and where to educate your children is one of the most important decisions you will make. We are proud of the way that visitors are welcomed into our school and I would like to extend a warm invitation to come and see the school in action for yourself and for us to answer all of your questions.
