"The provision is outstanding" Ofsted 2007
Boarding at Boundary Oak is a homely affair. Live-in houseparents work alongside resident staff while Matron and gap students ensure that the children are happy and comfortable. Dormitories are split up into age-groups to cope with different bed-times. With smaller bedrooms that sleep 2-3 for the older boarders to recognise their seniority in the school.
Children need to be kept busy. Frequent fun evening events ensure their interest and during the summer months we make the most of the School grounds with barbecues, cricket matches, treasure hunts and use of the heated outdoor pool. In winter we make full use of the games room, have a regular movie night (including tuck, of course), discos and ball games on the floodlit Astroturf and in the School Hall (Acorn Theatre). Regular trips out include cinema, bowling, indoor play areas such as 'Playzone' and 'Laser Quest'. |
